Lego Mindstorm Robotics

February 2020

Designed and programmed a Lego Mindstorm robot for a construction-themed challenge. Built a crane lift prototype able to complete tasks on a test map, combining coding with hardware control.

Aquabots

June 2023

Developed a peer-to-peer camera system for an aquatic robot and office connection. Gained experience with modular software design, Docker environments, and system integration.

Actechno Tracking Systeem

January 2025

Researched improvements for a track & trace system, moving from HF to UHF RFID. Tested ESP32, UHF readers, and tags to provide practical recommendations for system expansion.

Internship & Graduation Assignment

I completed both my internship and graduation project at Urban Reef, where I conducted research on possible sensors to monitor microclimates. I learned that not every measurement needs to be extremely precise for the client, what matters most is that the end product works reliably. I also gained new analytical methods that help me make better decisions in the future without relying on assumptions. In addition, I developed more professional behavior by observing meetings and discussions with company stakeholders.

Smart Lift Monitoring Project – Hogeschool Rotterdam
April – June 2024

Developed an IoT-based system to monitor elevator occupancy and reduce congestion during peak hours. Built and tested two approaches: a load-cell pressure sensor for weight-based passenger detection and a Bluetooth/WiFi beacon for device-based presence tracking. Results showed the load cell as most reliable, with a combined method recommended for improved efficiency and passenger flow.

I am a graduating student in ICT with a specialization in the Internet of Things (IoT). My passion is making analog systems smarter by applying sensor technology and network communication. By enabling devices to communicate and collect data, I aim to improve human life and make industrial processes more efficient. My interests also include robotics and drone technology, where I want to contribute to innovative solutions that support people and organizations. Technology should serve humanity, and I am committed to developing systems that make this possible.

Background & Experience
During my studies and various projects, I built a strong foundation in both hardware and software integration. School assignments gave me the opportunity to develop diverse systems from automated devices to service-oriented platforms. My internship provided valuable hands-on experience with embedded systems and methods for system analysis. In addition, part-time jobs strengthened my communication skills and taught me how to work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams. These broad experiences have shaped my practical mindset and eagerness to learn.
